❤️ Please Help Us Fight for Joseph Spina— We Need You Now

We are reaching out today with heavy hearts to ask for your help for someone who means so much to us — our dear friend, Joseph Spina.

On August 19th, Joe received the worst news of his life, a incidental and devastating diagnosis of Stage IV pancreatic cancer with liver metastases. After surviving heart attacks and open heart surgery not just 2 years ago, then receiving a prostate cancer diagnosis last year, Joe has yet the greatest challenge of his life ahead.

There are no easy words for what this diagnosis means, and none of us were prepared to face the possibility that we could lose someone we love.

But we are not ready to give up.

Joe's oncology team is fighting alongside him and working urgently to get him access to a newly approved medication called Rasonque, which they believe may help extend his life.

There is just one heartbreaking obstacle: insurance is delaying access to the medication.

And with metastatic pancreatic cancer, time matters. Every day matters.

While Joe's doctors continue fighting with the insurance company, we are trying to do everything we possibly can to make sure that a financial barrier does not stand between Joe and a treatment that could give him more time.

The cost is overwhelming — over $40,000 for just one month of the medication.

We know that asking for $40,000 is a lot. But we also know that when someone you love is fighting for their life, you don't stop looking for ways to help.

So we are asking for your help.
