Joseph Mohr (Age 4) is the son of Jon and Caitlin Mohr and an amazing big brother to Eleanor (Age 3). The Mohr family pours their time and love into the community, from water skiing and volleyball clubs to Jon as a teacher for nearly 20 years. The worst of tragedies fell upon the Mohr family on January 23rd in the early evening. Joseph had been having ongoing migraines over the last couple of months with no real relief. Finally, a CT was ordered, and in the cruelest turn of events, it was revealed that there was a larger-than-golf-ball-sized tumor on the back lower side of his brain. With that info, a plan was formulated, and he underwent a nearly 11-hour surgery on January 27th to remove the brain tumor. In another twist of events, the tumor was confirmed cancerous shortly after the surgery.

It is expected that Joseph will be in the hospital for the next two weeks and then in and out over the next 9 months. Radiation and chemotherapy will be the next steps in the ongoing fight for Joseph—many updates to come, which will be posted at https://wisconsinelite.org/joseph/.

Joseph is incredibly resilient and fighting with all his strength. The journey ahead will be long and arduous for all. We are hoping that this GoFundMe can ease the impending medical bills that are headed their way, along with the many trips back and forth to the hospital and disruptions to normal life that will take place over the next 9 months.
