Stand with John Suarez in His Time of Need

Donation protected
My friend and colleague could sure use our help and prayers! John Suarez has been in ICU for the past three weeks.

John was admitted to the hospital on April 13th because he was vomiting blood. He had to undergo an emergency endoscopy to clip the bleeding vessels. His doctors then decided that he needed a splenectomy, and that was done on Thursday, April 17th. There was a complication in the surgery due to his history with pancreatitis, and the surgeon had to damage the stomach in order to remove the spleen. He thought he had repaired it, but it didn't hold.

Since then, John has had 2 drains inserted in his abdomen; one to drain from the area where the spleen was and the other to drain the stomach fluid that was leaking out. He also has 2 chest tubes to drain the fluid that was building up around the lungs.

They did two more endoscopies to try to repair the leak in the stomach, but neither worked. On May 5th, he had surgery to remove the damaged stomach tissue. He will have scans done this Friday to determine if the surgery was successful, and if so, the doctors hope that he will be able to be released from the hospital within ten days or so.

He is in a lot of pain and remains in ICU.

As we all know, the bills still become due even when you are in the hospital.

He is an amazing friend and attorney, and I sure would like us all to do what we do—help each other in our greatest time of need.

On behalf of John and his family, we thank you very much for your support and consideration!
