Stand with Jim McNamee in his fight against cancer.

Hi!
For those of you that don't know me, my name is Hannah Wood. My dad, Jim McNamee, unfortunately got some bad news that he has lung cancer. On top of this lung cancer, he has COPD, so this isn't going to be an easy road for him. What we do know is that it has NOT entered his lymphatic system, and that was great news to hear if there was any good news to hear in this situation. He is supposed to have 8 rounds of radiation, and that should have started, but there was a very unexpected complication with the biopsy. Basically, in non-scientific words, air from his lung was leaking out into his tissue, which caused him to swell up in his chest, neck, and face and become unrecognizable. He was in the hospital for this; they got his levels back to good enough to go home, but it hasn't been easy. After coming home, he noticed he couldn't breathe, so that meant another visit to the ER. The hole in his lung wasn't healed and still had a lung infection, so another round of antibiotics for 2 weeks in hopes that it heals in time for mapping. The simplest task of breathing is even hard for him right now.
He went in for mapping on the 19th of December, but they found his lung is not fully healed from the complication still, and they are not comfortable starting radiation until that is healed. So right now, we are playing the waiting game. But as you can imagine, the hospital bills are racking up, and with Jim not being able to breathe well, he is unable to work as much as usual.
My dad and his lovely wife, Sue Boersma-McNamee, are not the kind of people to ask for any help, so that is why I am here. The hospital bills are racking up, and they will not be slowing down any time soon. Other life events are happening on top of all of this, and life doesn't stop for a bump in the road.
It is also the holiday season, and I just know this is going to be difficult for them. Again, they would never ask for help, so I'm asking for them. Whether you can donate a little or a lot, everything is so very much appreciated! Even if you can hit the share button.
Nobody deserves this, but in my eyes, especially not him. He has us 4 daughters, and we need him around much, much longer. He is being very strong and confident he will kick cancer ass! I know he has made an impact on many people's lives. I'm just hoping to get a little bit of help for them.
Thank you for reading, sharing, and donating. We will try to keep you updated as much as we can.
