Stand with Jim: Fighting Cancer, Stroke, and the Road to Rec

On August 14th, my dad, Jim Wilson, underwent head surgery for squamous cell cancer. The very next day, on August 15th, our world was turned upside down when he suffered a stroke. Since then, he has lost the use of his left side and faces a long journey of recovery ahead.

Dad will need intensive inpatient rehabilitation to regain strength and hopefully be able to walk again and use his arm. After rehab, his treatment will continue with radiation therapy and immunotherapy to fight the cancer, followed by another surgery for a skin graft on his head.

Anyone who knows my dad knows he is a hard worker with a heart of gold. He has always been the first to step up and help anyone in need without hesitation. Now, he’s the one who needs help.

We are starting this fundraiser to help cover his financial needs and bills during this difficult time. We want to ease the burden so he can focus fully on healing and not have to worry about how to keep everything afloat while he’s unable to work.

We are hopeful and praying that with rehab he’ll regain the use of his left side and be able to return to the life he loves. Any support—whether through donations, prayers, or simply sharing this page—means the world to us.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for standing with Jim on this journey.
