Stand with Jill and Cora in Their Time of Need

Hello…My name is Robin Gould and with the permission of the family I am writing to you today for your support.

Jill has been suffering with pain since her last emergency spinal surgery in October, believed to be needed due to a work injury that damaged a disc in her spine. One week ago she finally received an MRI, delayed largely because insurance would not approve it, and then she received a call the next day and told she'd need to meet with the surgeon again immediately. This was not expected and they told her Wednesday, May 1st to come in the next day ready to be admitted for surgery. She spent the night in the hospital waiting for an operating room and on Friday, May 3rd Jill went into surgery to repair her plate but unfortunately experienced complications. During surgery, Jill had dangerously low blood pressure and unstable breathing that required intervention. While the spine surgery went well, complications from the surgery meant she needed to stay on a ventilator while the ICU tried to stabilize her.

Fortunately, almost 24 hours later they were able to wake her and take her off the ventilator. She is now stable and no longer in ICU status; she's using oxygen and dealing with a great amount of pain but doing much better. 

Cora flew to Washington to be by her twin’s side. With Jill and Cora both not working for an unforeseen amount of time we’re asking for some financial support to help them. 

Cora is a pillar of strength in our community when it comes to helping others.  It is now our turn to help them.
