Stand with Jewish Students at Columbia University

Donation protected
Hello, I am a Jewish student at the University of Oregon! As Passover comes to us this week, I look forward to the opportunity to attend my local Chabad to celebrate the holiday with my community. While I am granted this safe and open welcome to celebrate my religion freely, this isn't the case for other college students around the nation. I am saddened, hurt, and shocked at the displays of anti semitism and Jewish hate at Columbia University. As a Jewish college student myself, I cannot fathom the fear and hurt these students are experiencing as the holiday of freedom arrives. Although there is only so much we can do, every person can have an impact. Students at Columbia University are fortunate enough to have the Chabad at Columbia University support them in these times of struggle. It is only my dream that every student can happily and safely celebrate this holiday alongside their community.

This fundraiser is to help raise money for Chabad at Columbia University. All proceeds will go to them in hopes of helping them raise money for holidays, Shabbat, and other gatherings for Jewish Students and the surrounding Jewish community.

In a letter to the public, Rabbi Yuda and Naomi Drizin state
"We want to reiterate that we are here now and here to stay. It is our life mission to support the Jewish students at Columbia University and we're not going anywhere. At times like these, we're reminded of the enduring spirit of our people, a spirit that has persisted through the generations, including ours-the current link in an unbroken chain since Sinai."

Whether you are a Jewish student, a Jewish person, or believer of any religion, we are all human beings and we all deserve to live and practice in peace. Your contribution and support can change the lives of these students. No one attending an institution to better their education should feel persecuted for practicing their religion. Moreover, these students have been harassed while walking to class, simply BECAUSE THEY ARE JEWISH.

Bringing a stop to this is the simple solution, supporting these students is where we can start.
