Stand with Jessica: Fight Against Brain Cancer

Donation protected
On August 16th, Jessica went into ZoomCare thinking she was just having some issues with her hormones. Instead, she received news that would change her life forever — doctors discovered she had a large brain tumor. She was immediately rushed to Legacy Good Samaritan Hospital, and on August 17th, she underwent emergency brain surgery to remove most of that tumor — a surgery no one ever expects to face. While she made it through the procedure, her fight is far from over. The surgery was only the first step. She is now facing radiation and possibly more treatment as doctors are still working to fully understand this rare and complex tumor. She has appointments with oncology in the coming weeks which will hopefully give us more answers and a better idea of the treatment plan.

If you know Jessica, you know she is the kind of person who gives everything she has to others. She’s the mom who never misses a game, who cheers the loudest from the bleachers, who puts her kids’ needs before her own every single time. She’s strong, hardworking, and the type of friend who will show up at your door with coffee or a hug exactly when you need it.

Right now, Jessica is facing the hardest battle of her life. As a single mom, her first thought has never been about herself — it’s about her kids. Everett is starting his senior year, a season of “lasts” he’s dreamed about, and Emma is heading into her sophomore year, growing into herself and shining. Jessica just wants them to be able to keep living their lives, chasing their passions, and creating those memories — even while she’s fighting for her health.

The reality is that Jessica will need at least 12 weeks off work to recover, and the truth is, no one knows yet how much longer she’ll be out or what the road ahead will look like. On top of the fear and uncertainty the medical bills and everyday expenses are piling up, the weight she’s carrying is overwhelming. She worries not about herself, but about keeping her kids’ lives as normal as possible.

This fundraiser is here to help give Jessica some peace of mind — to lift the financial burden so she can focus on healing, and to make sure Everett and Emma can keep doing the things that bring them joy.

Jessica has always been there for everyone else. Now it’s our turn to be there for her.

Any donation, prayer, or share makes a difference. Thank you for standing beside Jessica and our family through this incredibly difficult time.
