Stand by Jerry Meyer and His Family
Donation protected
We’re reaching out today on behalf of our amazing friend, Jerry Meyer – a proud U.S. Marine, dedicated police officer, loving husband, and devoted father of two wonderful children.
Jerry recently suffered a sudden and critical medical event — a brain aneurysm — that has left him and his family facing some incredibly difficult days ahead. As anyone who knows Jerry can tell you, he’s one of the funniest, most outgoing people you’ll ever meet – someone who can light up a room and is always ready to lend a hand or a laugh, even on the hardest days.
As a dedicated King County Sheriff's Office homicide detective, Jerry has spent his career protecting and serving his community with courage and heart. He was awarded the prestigious Sheriff’s Star for heroism after rescuing residents from a burning apartment building in Shoreline — just one example of the many times he’s put his own life on the line for others. Jerry’s bravery and selflessness have made a lasting impact. Now, as he faces this personal battle, it’s our turn to stand by him and his family when they need us most.
At this point, doctors are closely monitoring his condition and taking things day by day. The next several days and weeks will be critical as they assess how his body responds and determine what the next steps in his care will be. While there are still many unknowns, we are holding onto hope and continuing to believe in Jerry’s strength — something we’ve all seen so many times in his life and work.
Jerry’s wife, Desirae, is doing everything she can to care for him and keep life as normal as possible for their two children. They can really use a little extra help right now.
Every donation – no matter how small – will go directly toward supporting Jerry and help his wife and kids stay strong as they navigate this incredibly difficult journey together.
If you’re not in a position to give, sharing this page with your friends and family means the world to us.
Thank you for keeping Jerry and his family in your thoughts and prayers. Let’s rally around them with the love and support they’ve given to so many of us.
