Hello, I am Merwyn Welch, and I am putting this ask out on behalf of my sister and brother-in-law.

Jenn and Tim Welch are two people who will give you the shirts off their backs if you need it and they probably have. They have big hearts and they both try to honor their faith by giving and caring, yet that faith has not gone untested. Two years ago, they lost their daughter Sarah Beth which took an intense toll on them and yet they stayed strong. Recently, Tim has had to undergo medical care and yet they have stayed strong. Now they are being tested again and while I know they have support in friends, family, and faith, they will also need some financial assistance.

Last month in May 2024 in what should have been a most wonderful time of celebrating their 25th wedding anniversary and Jenn’s simultaneous long-time goal of graduation from SRJC, they were carrying some terrifying news that was just waiting to be confirmed. Cancer.

Jenn has been diagnosed with Stage Three Rectal Cancer, it has also been detected in her lymph nodes, and an additional mass on her kidney. She is facing an intense immediate 18-week Chemo and Radiation treatment cycle, further CT imaging, potential surgeries, and more as the treatments and scan progress.

Jenn and Tim have support in their son Charles, their extended family, their friends, their congregation, and Pearl their loving lap dog but this will be a huge financial strain between treatments, medications, transportation, and more into the unknown.
