Our family is reaching out with heavy and humble hearts as we begin a journey we never imagined as we rally around Jenni after her recent and unexpected diagnosis with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML) and Myelodysplastic Syndrome (MDS), two serious bone marrow disorders that require immediate and aggressive treatment.

We are still in complete shock as we try to process how quickly life has changed.

Jenni is currently admitted to the hospital, where she has begun her first week of two different intensive chemotherapy treatments. This is only the beginning of a long and difficult road ahead. In the months to come, she will require ongoing chemotherapy, bone marrow biopsies, blood and platelet transfusions, and ultimately a bone marrow transplant.

Because of the intensity of treatment, Jenni will be out of work for an unknown amount of time and her husband, Dominic, will be in and out of work as well to stay by her side and get her to her many appointments. Her treatment schedule includes a full week of outpatient therapy every month, along with countless labs, transfusions, and follow-ups.

As the reality sets in, so does the overwhelming weight of medical bills and everyday living expenses. Our hope through this fundraiser is to lift some of that financial burden so Jenni and her husband can focus entirely on her healing and well-being during this incredibly tough and uncertain season.
