He Dedicated His Life to Protecting Others. Now a Combat Veteran Needs Us.

There are a few people in life you know you could call in your darkest times - the ones who wouldn’t hesitate, wouldn’t ask questions, they’d just come.

Jeff is that person for me. And now he needs help from the community.

Jeff Bosley is a former Army Special Forces Green Beret and firefighter/EMT, actor and my best friend. But that doesn't actually explain who he is. What matters is what he does when someone needs help.

He shows up!

Several months ago, I went through one of the scariest and most dangerous situations of my entire life. Without hesitation, Jeff put his entire life on hold and came to make sure I was safe and could rebuild stability again. No spotlight. No recognition. Just because someone needed help.

That’s just who he is.

He’s helped a single mom/police officer with childcare so she could keep working the crazy shifts that police have to work. He volunteers to escort fallen veterans to their funerals so they are laid to rest with honor. He carries a deep belief that you stand beside people when things are hardest, not when it’s convenient.

Now he’s the one in the fight.

What’s Happening

Jeff is battling an aggressive recurrence of prostate cancer that has already spread at a rapid rate. Time matters right now.

There is a targeted treatment available in Australia that gives him a real chance to slow or stop the progression much earlier than the treatment path available here in the U.S. His care team believes pursuing it now gives him the best opportunity to preserve both his life and his strength.

The obstacle isn’t medicine.

It’s access.

Because the therapy isn’t offered here yet, insurance won’t cover it. The best chance Jeff had at surviving this, is to travel to Australia and pay out-of-pocket.

Why I’m Asking

Jeff has spent his life protecting other people, often quietly, often without anyone ever knowing.

This is one of the rare moments he can’t solve the problem himself. And I know he wishes he could, because he’s determined and stubborn.

We’re trying to raise $50,000 to cover treatment, travel, and medical expenses so he can reach care in time:
