Support for Jamaica: Helping the People Who Bring the Island to Life

I’ve had the privilege of visiting Jamaica many times—experiencing the beauty of the resorts, the music that moves your spirit, the food, the energy, and the incredible culture. But what truly makes Jamaica unforgettable are the people. The workers, the vendors, the drivers, the chefs, the hospitality staff—they are the heartbeat of the island.

Right now, that heartbeat is hurting.

Many of the people who make Jamaica the magical place we all love are facing devastation. Entire communities have lost access to work, WiFi, transportation, food sources, and basic necessities. Homes and workplaces have been swept away, leaving families without stability, safety, or income.

I’ve made real friends in Jamaica during my travels—friends who have welcomed me, shared stories with me, and helped shape some of my best travel memories. Today, many of them can’t work, can’t provide for their families, and don’t know when their livelihoods will return.

Every year for my birthday, I try to give back in some way. This year, there is no cause more deserving than this one.

I’m raising at least $3,000 to directly support local workers and their families in Jamaica who need help staying afloat while businesses, hotels, and community establishments are being rebuilt.

Every dollar donated will go directly to the people affected so they can stay on top of bills, buy food, and take care of their families during this difficult time.
