Help Jae Recover After a Brutal Attack in Ybor City

On what was supposed to be a fun night out with friends, my son Jae was the victim of a vicious and unprovoked attack at Flexx Sports Bar & Ultra Lounge in Ybor City, Florida.

Jae and his friends were in a VIP section, keeping to themselves, when a group of men repeatedly entered their space, taunting and harassing them. Jae calmly asked one of the men to stop, and it seemed the situation had been defused — but just minutes later, one of the men returned and punched Jae in the back of the head, sparking chaos.

As security began escorting Jae out the back, one of them told him he’d been cut — badly. It wasn’t until he saw his reflection that he realized the severity: deep wounds slashed across his face and chest, leaving him bloodied, shaken, and in urgent need of medical care. Jae immediately rushed to the ER, where doctors treated multiple lacerations that could have ended much worse.

The man who did this got away. Despite security checks at the door, someone managed to bring a weapon inside a crowded club — something that should never have been possible.

Now, Jae is facing medical bills, legal expenses, and emotional trauma from this senseless act of violence. We are asking for help to support his recovery and to pursue justice for what happened to him.
