Support Jackie in Her Fight Against Breast Cancer

07/23/24 UPDATE:

My mom had surgery to remove the tumor on 7/9. While removing the tumor they noticed slight growth starting in a nearby lymph node so they went ahead and removed it. The tumor is still staged as “in Situ” which means it has not spread to anywhere nearby. They originally thought her tumor was Estrogen negative but after the surgery it came back with some mixed results so they have sent those off for further testing.

After the surgery she had to stay an extra night due to a hematoma that formed.

Overall, she is recovering well and her radiation should begin the next couple of weeks!

My mom, Jackie, was recently diagnosed with Stage 2 breast cancer. She will be undergoing several rounds of chemotherapy and treatment in the next few months. She currently works full time and does not have health insurance through her employer, leaving her uninsured. We are in the process of seeing if she qualifies for any medical assistance and in the meantime, she is paying out of pocket. During her treatments, she will have to be out of work, which means she will not have a steady income for her medical bills and/or her other living expenses.

My mom has worked in childcare most of her adult life and has given back to so many children. She has two grandkids that need her to get better soon so she can continue to keep up with them! I am asking anyone who can, please donate during this difficult time.
