Ibrahim’s life, like so many others in Gaza, has been turned upside down by war. Once the provider for his family, he now finds himself facing challenges no parent or spouse should ever have to endure. His wife is bravely battling cancer, and his child was injured in the head on the very first day of the war. Because of the war and the lack of treatment in Gaza, the Egyptian Red Crescent evacuated them for medical care, forcing the family to leave everything behind and move to Egypt in search of treatment.
Ibrahim’s wife is in urgent need of care, and he carries the heavy responsibility of looking after her and their three young children. But the struggles do not end there; in Egypt, they have no stable income and no safe home, and their daily life is a constant battle against ever-increasing expenses.
On top of all this, Ibrahim also stands as a support for his large family back in Gaza, which includes his father, five siblings—among them two sisters—and more than fifteen children. All of them are facing genocide and starvation, struggling to survive under extremely harsh conditions. They are enduring skyrocketing prices, suffering the burning heat of summer and the freezing cold of winter, while living in a tent with no real shelter.
Here are Ibrahim’s words from the heart:
“I am Ibrahim from Gaza, Palestine. My wife and my three children and I moved from Gaza to Egypt in order to continue my wife’s treatment for cancer, due to the war and the lack of medical care for her in Gaza. Now I have no job and no source of income, and life here requires many expenses. In addition, I support the rest of my family in Gaza, so I appeal to you to help me overcome these circumstances and to stand by me and my family. Your presence with us eases the burdens of war, and we can receive treatment and obtain, as much as possible, a decent life for ourselves. Thank you in advance—you are our support and our strength.”
Ibrahim is not simply asking for help—he is fighting to keep his wife alive, to give his children a safe and stable life, and to continue supporting his large family in Gaza who are enduring the harshest of conditions. Every donation, no matter how small, is a light in their darkest days.
By contributing, you are not only helping cover medical bills, rent, and daily living costs, but you are also giving Ibrahim and his family hope. You are telling them that they are not alone, that their struggle is seen, and that humanity can stand together across borders.
Please, if you are able, consider donating and sharing Ibrahim’s story. Together, we can help him and his family rebuild their lives with dignity and strength.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. You are their support.
