Stand with Hunter and Rayne in their recovery and stability

Donation protected
Hello, my name is Susan, mother of Hunter, who was in a rollover accident on 6/28/25 in my Jeep. He was thrown from the Jeep, we think on the second roll, possibly rolled 3 1/2 times. Fortunately, someone I knew was behind him and witnessed the whole thing, and was by his side in seconds to render aid. He was airlifted to Baptist Medical, less than 2 hours from arriving at the local hospital, with multiple fractures in his neck and torn ligaments. After MRI and all the X-rays and exams, we were informed of his major injuries: 2 fractured vertebrae in the neck and torn ligaments surrounding the fracture with a high probability of complete paralysis if not operated on to stabilize the neck. His neurosurgeon performed the surgery, and it was a complete success! Thank you, Lord. He now has 2 plates, screws, and a donor bone that will take several years to do its job of growing together within his neck. He also had a broken foot, fractured hip, and torn ligaments in his shoulder. Need I say we are very blessed by his survival.

Now to part 2: his girlfriend was on her way to the hospital 2 1/2 hours from us that night, around midnight, 4 hours from the time of my son's accident. We watched him lift off in the helicopter, ran home to pack a bag, and we took separate vehicles. She fell asleep and totaled her vehicle and was also airlifted to the same hospital with multiple injuries: back, ankle, clavicle, and sternum breaks. I know it's crazy; you really can't make this stuff up. They were the talk of the hospital.

Now to the part where we need help. Thankfully, Rayne, his girlfriend, is covered under her insurance, her car is covered, and she is recovering at my home, improving every day with a few minor setbacks. She has 4 doctor's appointments this week, praying everything is healing from all three of her surgeries. My son, Hunter, however, recently started as an apprentice electrician and was less than 120 hours short of being covered by medical and short-term disability insurance. He does not qualify for assistance because making less than $15 an hour puts him out of the range for assistance, even though he will not be able to go back to work at the earliest, the first week of September. That's if he is released. Our problem is we have already gotten over $75k in bills, and that's not even half of them. My insurance company is fighting me to not cover my Jeep, and with only one income, mine, for at least 3 months with only 1 car for all 3 of us, it will be difficult, as I have to take off work to transport them. I honestly did not know how much to put as a goal; really, every dollar to me will be a blessing. But I'm asking for help for medical bills. My son has no income for any of his personal bills, including his child support. I am completely frantic, not knowing which way to turn, and not being able to replace my vehicle is just another added situation that has me panicked. I know God has this, and I wasn't going to do this, but something happened today that told me I need to ask for help, which I am very bad at, and my son is worse. I was raised to take care of my own, and I raised my children the same.

So if you can find it in your heart to donate to us so we can get back on our feet, we would greatly appreciate every bit.
