Help Save Our Family Farm, Winery, and Community
For more than 40 years, our family has farmed land in Napa Valley. We are a women-owned, multigenerational farming family, raising four young children, caring for a disabled father, providing local jobs, operating an animal sanctuary, feeding the community, and producing wines that support our community and local economy.
Today, everything we have built is at risk.
This Friday, Napa County is attempting to collect nearly $4 million in fines and penalties against our family business while our case remains under appeal. They have never proposed a settlement and have opposed every attempt to reduce the fines to an appropriate or reasonable number, let alone find a path to collaborate resolution that allows our business to keep operating. If successful, these collection efforts could force us to close our winery, lay off valued employees, lose our family home, and end a farming operation that has supported multiple generations. To be clear, they attempted to shut our business down while Lindsay was in the hospital birthing her twins, and her twins were in the NICU.
The consequences extend far beyond our family. The people who work with us would lose their jobs. Our animal sanctuary would lose critical support. The local businesses that depend on our winery and farm would be impacted. Four young children could lose the family business that has been their home and heritage.
What makes this especially difficult is that our winery has operated for decades under the same conditions as many other Napa Valley wineries. Despite this, we have been singled out for unprecedented enforcement and penalties that threaten the very existence of our business.
Our family has always believed in giving back. We opened the Yountville Community Farmstand to provide healthy food, support local farmers, and create a welcoming gathering place for neighbors and visitors alike. We have dedicated ourselves to building community, supporting agriculture, and preserving Napa Valley's farming heritage.
