A very dear friend and manager of our job has been faced with a challenge of battling cancer. She was unexpectedly diagnosed in November of 2024 with ovarian cancer. The cancer was removed along with a total hysterectomy in December. However, they gave her the news that the type of tumor removed originated from another part of her body. Unfortunately after her surgery she developed an abscess and had to be treated for it. While waiting to be seen by oncologist, and other doctors about treatment plans and to find out where the cancer originated from, she has been on medical leave from work staying home with her elderly mom who also is dealing with medical issues.
Fast forward to February of 2025, she was scheduled for an endoscopy and colonoscopy where she was told the news of being diagnosed with colon cancer. She is currently waiting to have surgery to remove the tumor that is in the part of her colon and small intestine. After the removal they will be able to tell her if she will need chemotherapy treatments which will delay in her return to work.
She is a team player, a leader, and most of all she has been there for when anyone needed her and now we are wanting to be there for her to help provide with relief of some of her medical bills, gas money to get back and forth to doctors visits, and treatments if needed. Her paid medical leave has ran out and her return date is currently unknown.
She is so grateful for anything we can help provide to her during this difficult period of her life. Cancer doesn’t define the woman she is.
Thank you for taking the time to read about her journey, all donations are 100% given to her and we are so grateful for. Thoughts and prayers are also appreciated.
