Update: Heidi's surgery well! We will keep you updated with progress! # strongest girl we know

Hi we are friends of Heidi Cardone and we want to raise money for our dear friend. She is battling a neurological disorder called Chiari Malformation that is not only painful and debilitating, but life altering. Heidi is affected by this disorder each and every moment of the day. As a mother, wife, Gigi daughter and friend she has always been willing to help anyone in her circle and community. We want to band together and support Heidi!  

Chiari Malformation is a silent disorder that causes the brain to herniate into the spinal canal. It can be extremely painful and Heidi deals with the symptoms of headaches, vision difficulties, sleep deprivation, neck and back pain, nausea, dizziness and nerve pain.  

If you are surprised by this, that is because Heidi has done everything possible to try and maintain normalcy. This journey has been over a year! It is now to the point Heidi has decided that it is time to take the steps to try and ease her suffering. 

On August 18, 2025 our dear friend will undergo a very extensive surgery. This requires travel to one of the few Chiari specializing neuro surgeons in the country. She’s already endured several trips to try and eliminate any other cause and treatment option. With the cost of travel and accommodations to stay near her medical doctors for the lengthy stay and being out of work for recovery we are asking for help to try and offset these costs. We understand that not everyone is able to support financially, and we’d appreciate prayers and shares in the event that others could help. Heidi is our Sunshine and we are hoping that after surgery and recovery Sunny days are coming her way! While Heidi is looking forward to being able to get back to what she loves, which is to support kids that need it the most. But more than anything, she’s looking forward to getting back to being the energetic wife mother and Gigi she’s meant to be without pain or restriction.
