My husband, Hector Tapia Zabala , has always been a hard worker the kind of man who will always say “yes” to work, no matter how long the hours or how tough the job. On July 26, he went in as a favor, because that’s the kind of person he is. He never says no. Unfortunately, that day he was injured on the job.

We thought workers’ compensation would help us through this, but his claim was denied, leaving us with no safety net and no way to cover our expenses while he recovers. Hector has always said yes to BCCI, taking on every task with pride, eager to show his skills, keep learning, and move up. He has never shied away from hard work but now, for the first time, he can’t work at all.

Hector will be out for the next 2–3 months. While he focuses on healing, we are struggling to keep up with medical bills, household expenses, and the needs of our three children. We want him to recover without the heavy stress of wondering how we’ll keep our family afloat.
