I'm Raneem Nasser 17 year-old Gazan Artist

Before the war, I dreamed of becoming an engineer, but the war destroyed everything.

Our home was completely destroyed, and we’ve been displaced 8 times so far.

We are currently living in a tent ⛺️

where there are no basic facilities—no clean water, no food, no fan, nothing at all.

During the war, my older brother Hassan (20 years old) was seriously injured, and his leg was amputated from the hip joint. He was evacuated to Egypt and is in urgent need of surgery due to his deep wound, but he is deprived of treatment and medicine, and lives in constant pain alone, while the rest of my family is still stuck in Gaza, barely surviving ourselves.

Life in Gaza has become extremely expensive and difficult,

and we now rely completely on donation links for survival.

My father is also a heart patient,

and his essential medicines cost us about $300 every month.

My little brother has turned into a skeleton due to severe hunger.

The situation is indescribable and unbearable.

I am in love with drawing—it is my only refuge.

I don’t speak... I express the pain through drawing,

hoping that hearts will understand before voices even reach them.
