#TeamHannah: Support Her Medical Journey

Hi! We are Aunt Sarah and Uncle Mackenzie and within the last week the life of our niece Hannah, her parents’ and siblings' lives, as well as so many friends and family members that love her, have been turned upside down. Hannah is a such a bright light, always smiling, very active, positive, outgoing, and loves sharing her faith in Christ. Unfortunately, after some time of migraines and nausea, some eye changes happened spurring quick action on her mom, Martha and stepdad, Michael to get her to the hospital. After an ER visit, eye appointment, and eye specialist appointment, they were referred back to the ER where an MRI was preformed showing a mass in Hannah's brain. She was quickly sent to Riley Children's Hospital in Indianapolis, IN, hours away from Montpelier, Ohio where she and her family live. Upon arrival in Indy, Hannah and her parents were thrown into very scary unknowns. After more eye tests and another MRI, Hannah had a biopsy of the mass in her brain on Monday, April 22nd, and the waiting game for pathology results have begun. This season of waiting is hard on everyone.

Back at home Hannah has three sisters and one brother, and Martha and Michael feel so blessed to have such a supportive village of people willing to step in and keep things running back at home with all the kids and house responsibilities as well as tons of support in Indy. Martha is a stay-at-home mom and Michael works for Youth for Christ and House of Prayer. Michael has been by Martha and Hannah's side, missing work. With so many unknowns of Hannah's diagnosis and next steps, on top of the last week of appointments and hospital visits and stays, medical bills will be looming. We would like to help Michael and Martha with any medical expenses for Hannah plus the expenses of gas, food, and necessities as Hannah's care is so far from home.
