Greg and Sara have been together for 14 years, building a life full of love, resilience, and faith in each other.

In 2019, Greg developed a rare autoimmune disease that attacked his kidneys. By 2020, he was in kidney failure and began dialysis. Determined to keep providing for his family, Greg learned to do his treatments at home — four days a week — so he wouldn’t be away from Sara and their children.

Despite his health struggles, Greg has never stopped working to support his family. Even while on disability, he continued to do DoorDash deliveries when he could. Sara, who once worked four jobs at once to make ends meet, now balances her job at Timoti’s with creating and selling her jewelry.

Recently, their journey became even more difficult. Greg was hospitalized and doctors discovered several large cancerous masses. On top of that, one side of his heart is enlarged and the other side functions too weakly for him to be a candidate for a kidney transplant. His doctors have recommended a life-saving heart implant — a device that could restart his heart if it stops — but the procedure cannot move forward until past medical bills are resolved.

Through all of this, Greg’s greatest concern has never been himself — it has been protecting his family from medical debt and making sure they are cared for. He has shown remarkable strength, choosing to fight every day for the people he loves.
