FIRST AMENDMENT PRISONER
Greg Miller, our husband and father, has been sent to jail for 120 days by Utah Judge Charles Stormont. Greg's crime? He put up a Facebook page demanding the enforcement of a deportation order against Jack Elbaum, a criminal alien. Soon after entering our country, Elbaum was imprisoned for felony fraud and ordered deported to Israel after his release. He appealed his deportation and lost yet remains in the United States. At least two companies led by Elbaum have surrendered their licenses.
Jack Elbaum has caused tremendous harm to our family for many years. But for exercising his First Amendment right to demand the enforcement of Elbaum's deportation order, Greg Miller, a U.S. citizen, has been jailed by Judge Stormont. Elbaum is deportable to Israel; Judge Stormont is chairman of the local Jewish community center, which advocates for Israeli interests.
