Stand with Gerard: Support His Family

It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden and untimely death of Randolph Smith, the eldest brother of our dear colleague, Gerard Smith. Randolph’s life was tragically cut short due to gun violence in Baltimore, Maryland, on July 13, 2025. Gerard, who is based out the TMF’s Miami HQ has been with the company since December 2018 and has been a part of the BD team since joining the firm. He is currently working in the Sales Enablement Team, having a primary focus on supporting and buttressing the global Fund Administration BD team, and practice.

To offer support to Gerard and his family during this time, we have started a crowdfunding campaign to receive internal contributions and donations. Given that flowers die, and cards fade, we imagine the most effective way to show our love, and support is through such an initiative. All proceeds will be directed exclusively to the widow of Randolph Smith, to be allocated betwixt his four surviving children.

If you know or have ever worked with Gerard, you know how human he is, and how much he cares for everyone he interacts with. Let us band together in the spirit of ONE TMF to be there for our corporate family member, and his family during their time of loss.
