Stand with Genie: Overcoming Cancer

If you've had the privilege to meet Genie, you know that she is a charismatic, ambitious, beautiful soul. Genie is currently working as an ER nurse in Bismarck and has listened, treated, and saved numerous lives during her career. She goes above and beyond for her patients, co-workers, family, and friends. Genie always has a positive attitude, even on the worst days.

In October, Genie had surgery to remove a "cyst" on her ovary. Pathology came back indicating that the cyst was actually a tumor. Genie was referred to Gynecologic oncology in Sioux Falls, SD, where she was diagnosed with ovarian cancer. She will be undergoing a significant surgery in Sioux Falls tomorrow.

Any money donated will go to help alleviate any medical costs and travel expenses for Genie. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers.

*Update: Surgery went well yesterday. Genie will be spending another night in Sioux Falls to monitor labs, kidney function, and help get her pain under control. She may need an additional surgery in the future but the doctor is optimistic that everything was removed. Please continue to keep her in your prayers.
