Stand With Gaza!! Please donate to the Save Gaza aid fund

My name is Giselle Ruemke-Leigh, and I am a Counsellor in Victoria BC, raising funds on behalf of my friend, Abdel Hadi, a Humanitarian Aid worker for Save Gaza in Khan Younis, Gaza.

Recently, vital food and aid has been cut off from the people of Gaza, who have faced incredible hardship in the past year and a half, and previously as well, due to the years-long occupation of their territories.

Abdel Hadi shares this message:

I hope this message will reach you with the best of health and faith.

Most of you will be aware of the current situation in Palestine and the beseiged Gaza Strip. Gaza is still undersiege and suffering.

The people of Gaza are now suffering from the most difficult stages of life, and the situation continues to deteriorate with the war of genocide, which resulted in countless civilian deaths and injuries. Due to the inability to count casualties as yet buried under the rubble of their ruined cities, it is estimated that well over 100,000 people have been killed, and many more disabled from injuries and illnesses due to the lack of sanitation, adequate nutrition, medicine, and medical care. The causalties include over thousands of children, with more and more instantly orphaned and left to fend for themselves and their siblings.

After over 75 years of occupation and blockaded checkpoints between their villages, families are struggling to obtain clean water, food, and medical resources, which makes it incredibly difficult to fight off the disease and hunger.

Imagine waking up and not knowing if you would be able to eat that day, if your children would be able to. Imagine if this was your daily reality, the hunger a constant gnawing in your belly, along with the fear that you may very well actually die of hunger.

According to the United Nations, 2 million Palestinian refugees in Gaza suffer from hunger and malnutrition.

The Save Gaza team is collecting funds that will be used to distribute food and aid to the people of Gaza, who are urgently i need of life saving food and clean water.

Our work consists of coordinated efforts to purchase needed food and water resources and help the largest number of families and children in Gaza, who are under ongoing siege and deprivation under the Israeli occupation. Please keep in mind that over 50% of the population are under 15 years of age, and many of their parents and even entire families have been killed or injured.

Our humble request is that you please help us raise funds to save the lives of Palestinian families. Please donate as much as you can, and remember that even if you do't have much, even small amounts can add up, with the contributions of many. Little means a lot for us.

Remember that when you share this post and our story, you will not only offer a meal for a child, but millions of people will realize and understand the gravity of the horrific crisis in Gaza.
