Meet our friend, Frankie Ruano. He joined our “family” over 25 years ago, coming from Guatemala thanks to our friend Dana Armentrout.
Not long after he arrived in Covington, he began a longtime career with a local industrial cleaning service, delivering 20+ years of service.
As for his “family,” Frankie, being the caring person that he is, has been our right-hand man through so many good times and the bad ones too. If any one of us ever need anything, he would likely be the first person to show up. He is just an all-around good fella.
Now for the reason behind this fundraiser. Recently, Frankie has been picked up by I.C.E. He is currently being held in a facility in Farmville, Va, awaiting his court date. We are not familiar with the deportation process, so we are not sure what may happen except that he will have to report to court on June 10th. His case has now been continued to a later date. He could be given a bond with instruction to begin the process for citizenship. That is what we are hoping for anyway. We are attempting to raise money to help offset these court fees, attorney fees, and pay his bond that can range from $1,500 to $5,000.
If you can help him, every little bit will help.
We don’t want one of our best friends leaving us. We want to do whatever we can to keep him as close to us as he has been.
Thank you in advance!
