Hello everyone ❤️ This is Taylah yet again, hoping to help my mama and Stepdad during their battle against my mamas breast cancer/medical bills that have taken a hold of their lives for the past (almost) 5 years. As many of you know, my mama Erin Turner was diagnosed with stage 4 aggressive breast cancer a few years ago, had a mastectomy, beat it, and was forced to sell her and her husband's home in Washington in order to pay off medical debt. Afterwards, the only place they could reasonably afford to buy a new home was in Arizona. Not too long after moving here, the cancer came back and her husband Peter ended up staying in Washington for a whole year working full time so my mom (living in Tucson) was able to still have health insurance and medical care. He loves her so much and it has been really hard to see them struggle for so long because of this country's disgusting, for-profit health care system that obviously doesn't reflect care for human lives and well being. At each cancer treatment appointment averaging $18,000 per session (with insurance) they are now facing the same predicament as before, the medical bills/debt have become priority to their mortgage, and all other bills, and are faced with the heartbreaking reality that they may have to sell their home in Tucson, that Peter spent months renovating and remodeling himself.
