-Eric's Story: My dad has always been the embodiment of kindness and generosity. As a beloved father and friend, he has spent his life helping others, from providing free HVAC services to those in need to rescuing stranded motorists and saving dogs. Now, my dad needs our help.
-A Battle Against Pancreatic Cancer: In November 2022, our world was turned upside down when my dad was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Despite the devastating news, my dad faced his diagnosis with unwavering courage and determination. Through his first round of chemo and six major surgeries, he continued to work tirelessly, refusing to let his illness define him.
-A Lifelong Hero in Need: My dad has always strived to be a hero in his community. His selflessness and willingness to help others have touched countless lives. Whether it's providing counsel and wisdom to close friends, or opening up his home to people who have no where else to go, or helping someone in distress, my dad's heart knows no bounds. Now, it's my hope we can be heroes for him.
-The Current Struggle, Chemo, Surgeries, and Setbacks: After completing his first round of chemo and undergoing surgery to remove the head of his pancreas, my dad was given a brief reprieve. However, just a month into his recovery, the cancer returned. Despite his efforts to continue working during his second round of chemo and daily radiation treatments, my dad faced another setback in May 2024 when he suffered a perforation in his stomach. This emergency surgery has extended his recovery time by about six months and has made it impossible for him to work.
-How Your Donation Will Help: The funds raised will go directly towards my dad's living expenses, allowing him to focus on his recovery without the added stress of unpaid bills. Your generous donations will help cover rent, utilities, transportation to medical appointments, and daily necessities. By easing this financial burden, you will be giving my dad the peace of mind he needs to heal.
-We are incredibly grateful for any support you can provide. My dad's strength and resilience inspire us all, and with your help, we can give him the best chance at recovery. If my dad has ever refused payment or gone above and beyond for you, now is your chance to show him what that meant to you. Thank you for being part of this journey and for showing that kindness and generosity can make a real difference in the lives of those who need it most
