Dear Friends, 

      My name is Elijah Cooper. For the past two years of our marriage, my wife and I have been fighting a difficult battle against Crohn's Disease. Since December alone, I've endured four hospitalizations. While I'm finally on the necessary medication, we now face a mountain of medical bills that our insurance has largely denied. 

      The financial burden has become overwhelming. Each day brings another statement, another reminder of costs we simply cannot meet on our own. Despite working hard (though, the work I can do is very limited) and being careful with our finances, this illness has pushed us to the edge of what we can handle. 

      Your prayers have meant everything to us during this journey, and they remain our most treasured support.
