Stand with Edwin (Macho) Raising Funds for a Prosthetic Leg
Donation protected
I thought i would share what has been going on with one of the STRONGEST people you could come across. For his (Macho) wonderful, and supportive friends and family wondering why he was in the hospital then taken to rehab. On Dec 5th, he went to the ER for some swelling issues on his leg and a wound on his heel that would not heal. Edwin was then admitted. A few days later he was told he needed a procedure done on his leg to try to better the blood flow going to his foot. Doctors said it was high risk because of his previous cardiac issue and needed to be transferred to Philadelphia for surgery. On Christmas day he was taken to Penn Presbyterian Hospital where the surgeons told him the wound caused a bone infection and they would have to amputate his right foot from the knee down. On January 3rd, he underwent surgery and became below the knee amputee. He was transferred to a rehab facility to begin this NEW JOURNEY On Jan 14. Macho has been doing 3 hours of physical and occupational therapy 7 days a week. As we all know, he is KICKING ASS! He would like to Thank all the wonderful people in his life that keep him motivated. He is looking forward to living as normal as he can once he gets a prosthetic and returns to the CAREER that HE LOVES. #amplife Long Story SHORT. Let's help Macho have a Hoppy Ending and help raise for he's new Prosthetic Leg! Thanks for taking the time to read he's brave story.
