Stand with Edward King

Dear friends, neighbors and supporters of the Little Cheerful Cafe,

We all have that one place that feels like home, a place where we can go to relax, enjoy a cup of coffee, and indulge in some delicious food. For many of us in Bellingham, that place is the Little Cheerful Cafe. But what makes this cozy cafe so special is not just the food or the ambiance, but the people behind it. One of those people is Edward King, one of the original owners of the cafe.

Edward King was instrumental in bringing the Little Cheerful Cafe to Bellingham, and his hard work and dedication helped make it the icon it is today. Unfortunately, after selling the cafe, Edward was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis and has been living on a limited fixed income. And now, he has been priced out of his long-time residence by the property management company and is faced with an unwanted move. To make matters worse, he is undergoing biopsies to determine if he has cancer.

Edward King is an important part of our community, and his contributions to the Little Cheerful Cafe are immeasurable. That's why we are asking for your help. We have set up a GoFundMe page to raise $7,000 to assist with Edward's moving costs and medical bills. Any amount you can give would be greatly appreciated. Let's come together as a community to show our support for Edward during this difficult time.
