Stand with Edmund, the Beloved Dogfather of Alexandria

Hi, my name is Kathy and I'm raising funds for Edmund Smith, aka the Dogfather of Alexandria, who recently had a serious health scare that has left him with more than $5,000 in medical bills.

Edmund's love of dogs led him to start his own dog walking + sitting business several years ago, and as anyone who has been lucky enough to have him care for their dogs can attest, he has a true heart for animals. My dogs, who are wary of strangers to say the least, took to him right away thanks to his always calm presence, his gentleness with them, and endless patience.

In April, Edmund ended up in the emergency room on back to back days dealing with a serious health scare. Thankfully, he is nearly fully recovered and he insisted on getting back to work the day after he left the hospital -- but with the tests he needed and a high-deductible insurance plan, he is now facing some major unexpected expenses.

Edmund always goes above and beyond for any dog in his orbit. I'm honored to know him and support this fundraiser and wanted to share his story here with the hope others may also be able to stand with him, even with a small donation.
