Support for Ed Heller and His Fight Against Pancreatic Cancer

Our dear friend Ed Heller, 61, has recently been diagnosed with inoperable pancreatic cancer. For the past three months, Ed has been in and out of the hospital battling severe, unexplained pain—only to receive the devastating diagnosis just 10 days ago.

Ed grew up in Lake Tahoe and attended Whittell High School. He always dreamed of returning to the area he loved. Four years ago, he and his wife Jen made that dream a reality, leaving San Diego for a quieter, better life in Gardnerville.

Since moving back, Ed has made many new friends in the area and is known for his kind heart and ability to make everyone smile. He’s the kind of person who lifts others up, even in his own hardest moments.

Ed is now unable to work, and Jen—who works as a hairdresser at Nectar in Minden—has had to miss many days to be by his side.

The emotional and financial toll has been overwhelming, with mounting medical bills and uncertainty about the future. We are reaching out to our friends, family, and community for any support you can offer—whether it’s financial help or simply keeping Ed and Jen in your thoughts and prayers.
