Stand with Dustin Wood: Overcome Hardship

Our situation began on January 6th, 2025. I was working at a roofing material delivery company. That day began like any other. Myself and two other members of the team were at a worksite on a roof. I was pulling off a bundle of shingles from a pallet of shingles. All of a sudden, my left foot decided to slip from underneath me. I went down, injuring my hip and back. I tried working on "light duty" for a couple of weeks, but let's be honest, when it comes to roofing materials, there aren't many things that are lightweight. Essentially what happened was instead of the company allowing me to file for workers' comp, I was terminated via text message on February 18th, 2025. I have been out of work since. Although I'm still injured, I continue to look for a new job. No luck with that yet . So as you might imagine, all our bills and rent have fallen behind by a couple of months. On March 3rd We received a 3-day notice to pay the rent or vacate our rented home.
Now we have been notified by the property manager that they are going to officially file for the eviction process. I have a family too take care of Myself, (fiancé ,2 cats, and a pug) We have tried everything that we could think of for financial assistance, No luck with that either. I know that finances are extremely tight these days. I am a veteran of the US Military, and are waiting for my veterans benefits to kick in. If you choose to donate to this cause we would be eternally grateful. If you would like to, but cannot we completely understand. Thank you for your support.
