Dear friends,

Many of us have had the privilege of knowing the Bauta family. Their family has been deeply woven into the fabric of our Montvale community, contributing through school events, local organizations, and charitable efforts. In countless moments of need, they’ve stood by others with generosity and compassion; today, they are the ones in need of our help.

This past week, their family was dealt with an unfathomable hardship as their 15-year-old son, Dren, was diagnosed with AML, a type of leukemia. Many of us know Dren as the gifted athlete who takes on any challenge on the field or court with a fierce competitive spirit. He is now facing one of the toughest matches of his young life, and we all as a community will need to surround him and his family with as much support as possible to make it through this.

This support will be needed in many forms: emotional, practical, and financial, to name just a few. The goal of this GoFundMe is to provide whatever support we can to help the Bauta family with unforeseen medical bills. All money will go directly to these medical costs, and should there be any extra, the family plans on donating directly to a variety of causes related to pediatric hematology/oncology care.
