Stand with Dominick: Aid His Healing Journey

Hi, my name is Jim, and I’m raising funds for my grandson Dominick.

A few days ago, Dominick was in a devastating motorcycle accident on his way home from one of his favorite things: a Mario Kart tournament with friends. In an instant, everything changed. While we’re deeply thankful he’s still with us, the injuries he sustained are severe and life-altering. The road ahead is going to be long, uncertain, and incredibly challenging.

Dominick is 20 years old and in his third year at the University of Rhode Island, pursuing a degree in Accounting. He’s not just a student... he’s been thriving. He works a full-time internship at FM Global, a part-time job at The Gardiner House in Newport on the weekends, and somehow still makes time to be the kind of friend, son, and grandson everyone is proud to know.

He's always been that way. Dominick graduated high school in his third year and still managed to be valedictorian. He once represented his school in a national Microsoft Excel competition in Florida. He even won his school’s Geography Bee in middle school. Whether it’s academics, work, or Mario Kart, Dominick gives it everything he has, and he’s done it all with kindness, humility, and zero shortcuts.

Dominick will be out of work for the foreseeable future, and while he has some savings and credit available, the reality is that living expenses, medical bills, and ongoing care costs add up fast. As anyone who’s faced a major trauma knows, recovery takes time, and so does figuring out what “moving forward” even looks like.
