Stand with Delano - Quiet Hero's Face off with Angiosarcoma

Our dear friend Delano has recently received a diagnosis of an extremely rare and aggressive form of cancer with a poor prognosis called Angiosarcoma. Unfortunately, the tumors are painful, growing quickly, and spreading to a variety of organs in his body. Because the cancer is so rare, and few doctors have experience with the nuances that are unique to Angiosarcoma, Delano will need to travel for evaluation by specialists to determine whether any treatments are available. We will provide updates as we receive them.

Delano is a kind and caring man who has devoted his life to supporting special needs children as an paraeducator in Nevada County for over 20 years. He genuinely cares for others and brings kindness, patience, humor, and empathy to every situation and interaction. Delano is the kind of man sorely needed in this world, and it is time for us to give back and rally around him.

Many are asking how they can help, so this fundraiser is being organized by Delano’s friends to help with the significant financial burdens associated with medical care, alternative accommodations to receive palliative care, “last-wish” outings, and other expenses that will arise as Delano travels down this unexpected and frightening path. Donations will be managed by an attorney to ensure that every donation goes directly to Delano’s care and expenses.
