Stand with DeAngelis Family in Their Time of Need

Hi Everyone, my name is Kayla Corsi and I have known the DeAngelis family for many years. As most of you may know, the DeAngelis family lost their son and brother, Jonathan, a little over a month ago. While still grieving this loss, another tragedy has struck their family.

Rudy was admitted to Silver Cross hospital on Saturday with some shortness of breath, along with critically high blood pressure. After being admitted for observation, he began to have weakness on his right side and difficulty speaking and swallowing. We would later find out that Rudy has suffered from a stroke in the pons area of his brain. For those of you who don’t know, the pons is responsible for motor function, sensation, speech, and swallow. Having a stroke in this area can cause difficulties with walking, talking, speaking, and swallowing.

Rudy is still currently critical in the ICU and will have a long and extensive recovery ahead of him. Please consider donating to help lessen the burden of hospital bills and out of pocket costs while the DeAngelis family provides Rudy with the best possible care.
