Stand by Dan: Radiation, Recovery, and Resilience

Just two months before marrying his high school sweetheart, Dan received devastating news, a diagnosis of head and neck cancer. What was meant to be the best and greatest season of his life has become a life-altering journey.

Dan has already undergone a major surgery to remove and reconstruct a significant portion of his tongue, as well as remove the lymph nodes in his neck. Beginning next month, he will start daily radiation treatments in Philadelphia. This will require him to travel back and forth five days a week for six weeks. Dan is on a long road to recovery, and this journey has been tough, but he is facing it with strength and resilience through his incredible support system - his fiancé Ally and his family and friends.

As a proud Special Agent of the Secret Service, Dan has devoted his entire career to protecting others. He is passionate about his job and is looking forward to continuing his service. Dan has been out of work since March, and the financial strain has added a heavy burden on top of an already difficult situation. To focus fully on healing, Dan and his fiancée Ally have made the hard decision to postpone their wedding.
