To Whom It May Concern,
My name is Damon and I am writing with both humility and deep conviction to share my story and express the critical importance of supporting this cause. As a United States Military Veteran who served two tours in Iraq, I have lived a life shaped by service, sacrifice, and an enduring love for my country. My time in the military was marked by honor and duty, but also by experiences that left profound and lasting impacts on my health—physically, mentally, and emotionally.
Like many veterans, I returned home forever changed by the realities of combat. I have been officially diagnosed with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), which continues to affect my everyday life. From sleepless nights and emotional distress to the challenges of reintegration into civilian society, the effects of PTSD are real and unrelenting. Yet, I press on.
My journey took a further turn when I was rushed into medical care during an emergency, only to be diagnosed with prostate cancer—not once, but twice. I underwent aggressive treatment, including chemotherapy and high-dose radiation, which not only placed an enormous strain on my body but left behind a trail of long-term side effects. These treatments have altered my day-to-day function, leaving me physically weak, fatigued, and struggling with the damaging impact they had on my immune system and internal balance.
To add to this, I suffer from several chronic conditions including severe migraines, compromised immune function, and blood-related deficiencies that demand continuous medical attention and specialized care. These are not temporary setbacks, but ongoing, life-altering medical battles that require persistent monitoring and costly treatment.
Most recently, I received another devastating diagnosis—testicular cancer. The weight of this new battle is heavy, and I am now preparing for yet another round of treatment. The emotional toll of facing cancer again, while still dealing with the consequences of the previous treatments, is beyond words.
Despite all I have faced and continue to endure, my trust remains in the Lord. I hold on to unwavering faith that I will be totally healed. If it had not been for the Lord who was by my side, I truly do not know where I would be. Through every hardship, I have leaned on His promises and His strength, and it is His presence that carries me forward.
This is why I am reaching out now. I am humbly asking for your support—financially, prayerfully, and compassionately. Your donation will directly help with mounting medical expenses, ongoing treatments, dental care (as I lost many of my teeth due to chemotherapy), transportation to and from hospitals, and essential living costs that have become overwhelming due to my health limitations. Every contribution makes a tangible difference—helping me afford the care I desperately need while allowing me to focus on healing rather than survival.
Supporting this cause is not only helping one veteran—it is standing in solidarity with the sacrifices made in service to this nation. It is affirming the dignity of someone who served with honor, fought with courage, and continues to battle in silence with invisible wounds.
I thank you from the depths of my heart for considering a donation. May you be blessed richly for your compassion and generosity. I remain forever grateful.
Certainly. Below is a formal and professional letter explaining how donated funds will be used, emphasizing medical, dental, and mental health needs:

It is with deep humility and sincere gratitude to provide a clear and formal explanation regarding how any funds donated to my cause will be utilized. As someone who has endured significant medical hardships over the past several years—including battles with cancer, the effects of chemotherapy, and ongoing mental and physical health challenges—your support means more than words can fully express.
Over the last five years, I have faced an accumulation of exorbitant medical expenses as a result of numerous treatments, specialist visits, hospital stays, therapies, and prescriptions. These costs have not only placed a severe financial burden on me but have also greatly limited my ability to manage other basic health needs that remain critical to my well-being.
One of the most devastating side effects of my cancer treatment—particularly chemotherapy—has been the loss of many of my teeth. This has caused daily pain, difficulty eating, impaired speech, and further impacted my overall health. Restorative dental treatment is essential, not cosmetic. It involves extractions, fittings, and the replacement of teeth with prosthetics or implants. These services are highly specialized and often not fully covered by insurance, making them extremely costly.
In addition to my physical health challenges, I am also receiving ongoing mental health care, including treatment for PTSD and trauma-related conditions. This care is vital to my emotional stability and quality of life. Mental health services, including therapy sessions and psychiatric consultations, have become an essential part of my healing process. These services are often expensive, with co-pays and out-of-pocket costs quickly adding up.
Every donation received will be applied directly to:
• Outstanding medical bills and costs associated with new or continuing treatments
• Dental reconstruction and replacement of lost teeth due to chemotherapy
• Mental health care and support services, including therapy and counseling
• Transportation and medical necessities that support daily function and treatment compliance
Please know that all funds will be stewarded with the utmost responsibility and transparency. I am committed to using every contribution to directly improve my health, stability, and quality of life.
Thank you for considering a gift toward my journey of healing. Your support is more than financial—it is a tangible expression of compassion, solidarity, and hope.
