On Saturday night, Dama and Brandon Klosterman took their beloved dog for a walk — something so simple and ordinary that no one could imagine it would end in tragedy.

While walking together, they were struck by a drunk driver. Brandon and their dog were killed, and Dama was critically injured. She is currently in intensive care and undergoing major surgery for a shattered pelvis.
