Our 7-year-old Dalilah Coleman’s life changed forever on June 20, 2024, when an 18-wheeler crashed into our family vehicle in California, causing a devastating pileup. The impact left her with a fractured skull, broken femur, severe traumatic brain injury, and months in a coma.
Before the accident, Dalilah was a vibrant, energetic little girl who loved running, playing with her siblings, and dreaming about kindergarten. Today, she is bravely relearning to walk, talk, and eat while facing daily challenges from her injuries. She continues intensive therapies and relies on a feeding tube, but her fighting spirit and beautiful smile inspire everyone around her.
We are incredibly proud of Dalilah’s progress and remain hopeful for her full recovery. As her family of 9, we are doing everything we can to support her healing while managing overwhelming medical costs not fully covered by insurance.
Your support will help fund:
- Ongoing therapies and medical equipment
- Future procedures and home modifications
Beyond her recovery, Dalilah has inspired “The Dalilah Law” legislation aimed at preventing similar tragedies caused by unsafe trucking practices. Together, we are planning a nationwide tour with Dalilah, stopping at over 150 locations within the next year to advocate directly to trucking communities and Governors for the passage of The Dalilah Law.
Every donation helps Dalilah’s healing journey and fuels this important mission to protect other families from the same heartbreak.
Thank you for standing with our brave girl and helping us turn tragedy into lasting change.
With gratitude,
The Coleman Family
