SECOND UPDATE. Craig went for his catherization today. The doctor came out and told him that he's going to need between a triple and a quadruple bypass. So he is facing open heart surgery. We are waiting for a call from the heart surgeon. He is totally unable to work at the moment. I and some of his other friends are working his routes trying to make sure that he has enough money to eat and get the bills paid as far as electric insurance etc. The Social worker at the hospital is trying to assist him to get signed up for Medicaid but so far no luck. So anything you can do to help would be appreciated. Especially your prayers and well wishes. And your donations help as well. We all have a Craig story how we met him, the importance he has had in our lives. And perhaps like my husband and I he performed your wedding ceremony. In a day and age where thousands of dollars are raised for people we don't know let us come together and help one we do know. A person who has such a positive impact in our lives. As always please share this fundraiser too help it spread thank you so much.
UPDATE when Craig went to have his cardio work up before the surgery and they found something and he is having a catherization on Tuesday to see what's going on. Please keep him on your prayers and if you can please donate thank you waddo
Hello friends, hello native family, hello Christian family.
My name is Betty Lawrence, and I am the clan mother for the Waya Tawodi Spiritual Center. Our Peace Chief, Reverend Dr. Craig Talbot, is in need of surgery. The out-of-pocket expenses are racking up very quickly for him. There is a need to help him cover his copay. He does have insurance, but he will be charged copay for all of the surgery and the medicines, etc. Many of you who know Craig know he will not ask for you to help him.
I come to you and ask you to please help him. I am sure if you are reading this and you know Craig, he has touched you in some way. Craig gives what he can timewise, money-wise, and learning-wise to anyone who seeks to receive it. It is now our turn to repay that generosity. Our brother in Christ, our brother on the red road, needs us to stand up and help provide for him at this period of his life.
If you know Craig for any length of time, you will learn that years back he had a devastating motorcycle accident that almost took his left leg. He now is having artery problems getting enough blood flow to that left leg, and it is endangered once again. On April 15th, he will be receiving surgery to repair damage, and the doctor will put in veins to help his leg receive enough blood. Such surgeries can take time to recover from and be costly. The estimated downtime given by the doctor is 4 to 6 weeks of no work. He is in need of our support. Nothing is too small. So I would ask you to please donate as generously to him as he has ever given to you. We must take care of our spiritual leadership that provides for us. In my humble opinion, he has done that for many. I thank you for taking the time to read this, and I thank you most assuredly for your donation. Please share this fundraiser with others. Sincerely yours, Betty Lawrence.
