Pete Genero is a well-respected member of our community, known for his dedication to coaching youth sports. His enthusiasm for mentoring our boys and girls has been evident to many over the years. Regardless of the weather or his personal circumstances, Pete has consistently been present and engaged.

I have received permission to share an update regarding Pete's medical condition. Unfortunately, laryngeal cancer has returned, with the tumor growing aggressively and encroaching on his carotid artery. As a result, surgery is not a viable option at this time. Recently, Pete experienced severe complications, including a ruptured aneurysm that led to three cardiac arrests, along with a collapsed left lung. A stent has been placed in the carotid artery to control the bleeding. He now faces a challenging recovery and hopes to qualify for immunotherapy treatments to reduce the tumor size.

To support Pete, Jackie, and JD during this difficult period, I am organizing a GoFundMe campaign. The family is under immense stress, and financial concerns should not add to their burden. Currently, Pete is unable to work, and Jackie is taking leave to be by his side. Any contributions would be greatly appreciated. Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers.
