In June 2021, my life changed forever when I received the devastating news—I had breast cancer. In that moment, all I could think about was death and what it would mean for my two children. The weight of that reality was crushing. But as time passed, I realized that this was not the end; it was a battle I had to fight.
With courage, I embraced the challenge. I underwent a mastectomy—an incredibly difficult decision to make—followed by a grueling treatment plan that included chemotherapy. The side effects were relentless: constant vomiting, fevers, mouth sores, drastic weight loss, skin darkening, overwhelming fatigue, dizziness, and the heartbreaking loss of my hair. Each day was a test of endurance, pushing me to my physical and emotional limits.
After chemotherapy, I faced radiotherapy, which took a toll on my right lung. Just when I thought the worst was behind me, my battle took a devastating turn—the cancer had spread to my liver and bones. I was heartbroken, but I refused to give up. With resilience, I embarked on a second line of treatment, determined to keep fighting. However the financial burden of the treatment grew heavier each day.
As a single mother and the sole provider for my family, the cost of my treatment has been overwhelming. Medical bills continue to mount, alongside the daily expenses of raising my children—covering their school fees, basic needs, and ensuring they have a stable life despite my struggles.
Today, I am reaching out for support. Your kindness and generosity can help ease this financial strain, allowing me to focus on healing while ensuring my children continue to receive the care and education they deserve.
I am deeply grateful for any assistance you can offer. Together, we can transform this difficult journey into a testament of hope and resilience.
Thank you for being a part of my story.
