No one fights alone-Stand with Cindi and Keith!!

Hello everyone! I have created this GoFundMe to help raise funds for Cindi and Keith Maddick.

I have had the pleasure of working with Cindi for the last couple years. She has one of the kindest and biggest hearts and I have watched her many times be there to support others while they are going through hard times, no matter what it may be. She has always gone out of her way to give hugs and be a shoulder to lean on when those around her have needed her, and now it's our turn to be that shoulder for her to lean on!

Cindi was recently diagnosed with stage II breast cancer. As a breast cancer survivor myself, words cannot begin to explain how it feels when you hear those words. She has already gotten her port placed and will begin chemo soon. The treatment plan is to do 6-8 rounds of chemotherapy (depending on the response), then surgery, followed by radiation. This will be a long road for her with a potential loss of income during this process.

Shortly after Cindi received her own diagnosis, and just a few days after the port was surgically placed, she had to take her husband Keith to hospital because they could not find a pulse in his leg. They have fixed that issue and placed a stint in order to clear out the blockage to resolve it. While doing a scan for potential blood clots, the doctors discovered a mass. Keith was then diagnosed with stage III rectal cancer. He will also undergo chemotherapy and radiation to treat his cancer at the same time that Cindi will also be going through treatment.

With both Cindi and Keith going through cancer treatment at the same time, needless to say, things will be difficult, but one thing that we can all do to help is relieve some of the financial burden that these types of diagnosis' cause to a family. Unfortunately, insurance can only go so far and with the potential loss of income, we have to help!

One of the first things that Cindi said to me after her own cancer diagnosis was that she is being SISU STRONG.

Sisu is a unique Finnish concept. It is a Finnish term that can be roughly translated into English as the strength of will, determination, perseverance, and acting rationally in the face of adversity. Sisu is not momentary courage, but the ability to sustain that courage.

Let's all be SISU STRONG and help out a family that deserves all the support in the world during this time. We are a family at our work and family sticks together through the good times and the bad.
