Stand with Christina and Timondre's Fight

It's not every day that you get to help someone directly in your own community; just like it's not every day that you meet someone like Christina. She is the warm and friendly face we are met with every morning at Machipongo Trading Company, and I know that her presence has made a positive difference in my daily life, so I say let's try to do the same for her.

Christina is the mother of 8-year-old, Timondre. Timondre was diagnosed with a hyperplastic aortic arch and ventricular septal defect at birth. His condition was expected to clear up on its own with time, however, Timondre's doctors have informed Christina that he will need urgent open-heart surgery. As one could imagine, this has come as a shock to Christina and her family, and she now must take time from work at the Trading Company to help Timondre in his recovery which is expected to take months.

I think a lot of us can relate as parents the toll this can take on a working mother. Let's use this moment to take some of the worry and pressure off of Christina and Timondre by helping them make ends meet while Timondre is on the mend. This way, Christina can focus more on the health of her child and less on medical and grocery bills. Together, we are Eastern Shore tough, generous, and kind.
